Care Notes

Care notes are ChurchCare's journal — the running record of the care your team provides. Each note documents something like a visit, a phone call, a prayer request, or a situation you're walking with someone through.

What a care note captures

  • The person (or people) it concerns.
  • A category so notes can be organized by type of care.
  • A status that tracks where things stand:
    • Ongoing — an active situation you're still walking through.
    • Monitoring — keeping an eye on it, but not actively working it.
    • Resolved — closed out.
  • Comments — your team can add follow-up comments to a note over time, so the whole history of a situation lives in one thread.

Sensitive notes

Some pastoral information is especially private. A note can be marked sensitive so it's handled with extra care and not surfaced casually.

Why statuses matter

Tracking a note from ongoing to resolved is how a care team makes sure people don't fall through the cracks — open situations stay visible until someone closes the loop.

Current needs can be pulled together into a printable prayer list.
